More than ever, my diverse learners need motivation to stay the course and focus on learning! Our district has suffered through 18 months of completely distance learning. The resource requested will be used create displays for our monthly publishing events and to individualize the rewards/ reinforcers for the classroom behavior management plan. Many students' self esteem and motivation to learn has suffered from being away from school for so long! My goal this year is to make this year strong and have them learn to LOVE my class and learning together again. Together we will use the cricut machine and vinyl (and card stock that the school supplies to us) to create custom displays for our monthly publishing events, individualized products like stickers and t shirts, cutouts for their water bottles and notebooks… for students to earn for weekly and monthly behavior rewards program. In my class the students earn raffles for positive behavior and class work that they can use to “purchase” rewards or put in for raffles, as well. These events are the highlight of the year. The students will be able to earn these materials. All students participate in my classroom "behavior management plan." These events are a positive celebration of all the kids accomplishments; academically and behaviorally. If I had these products, the students could choose their personalized stickers, t shirts... and would LOVE to earn them by participating in class, reaching academic and behavioral goals... I teach a somewhat challenging population that needs daily, weekly and long term reinforcement for positive behaviors and academic successes..
