They were so excited to try the new activities and asked how to use them if they had never seen them before. One of their new favorite activities is the colorful magnetic cubes. They are engaging in conversations about how they're building and why they're building and making meaningful cooperative discussions about what they could change or what they love about their friends' creations. Outside the stepping stones are requested daily as they move them around in different patterns, building their core muscles and balancing. \r\n\r\nThe activities have been used around the classroom and have added enjoyment in learning through play. The activities have added different ways my students can explore the world. With 40 little hands using materials everyday, we're always looking into new activities that will excite and challenge our students. They were so excited as I unboxed the materials and couldn't wait to use them! The science center has always been a last choice for many of my students and now it's the most visited center with friends waiting to join. Students are much more willing to take risks and try a difficult problem when they know they can easily wipe a mistake away with an eraser.
