They can utilize our class I-pads to take pictures and use the bluetooth connection to print. Learning the technology behind Zinc printing has led to brainstorming ways to operate the camera with special effects in a meaningful way. Their photographic point of view has definitely improved. Anytime students take part in activities where they are allowed to make decisions and be creative, they grow in confidence and knowledge. \r\n\r\nOur first project using the Sprocket printer was with an activity using the Engineering Design Process. Students were to build a vehicle that will roll down a ramp and stop in a box at 5 feet. They were so proud to share their photos with classmates and friends and are motivated to keep trying new ways to show what they know. This could not have been possible before. They learned how dialogue is used in playwriting and how difficult it is portray a real person on stage. Together, we crafted our own classroom version of the Preamble.
