The future of tomorrow sits in my classroom each day waiting for an adventure. Students of varying ethnicity's share the same desire...to connect to the world around them. My classroom consists of ten girls and sixteen boys in my classroom. The students range in age from nine to eleven. The class is made up of six percent Hispanic, fifty-four percent Caucasian and thirty-five percent African American and four percent other. Thirty-eight percent of my students are below average on student assessments, thirty-two percent of my students are above average on student assessments and thirty percent are average on student assessments. My school is comprised of twelve hundred students in three grades. It is made up of thirty percent African American, fourteen percent Hispanic, six percent other and fifty percent Caucasian. It is ninety percent free and reduced price lunches. Each grade consists of approximately fifteen teachers with an average of twenty-five to twenty-six students in each grade
