I teach 5th grade Language Arts Inclusion classes. My classes are made up of students who are working at several different ability levels. Our school is in a suburban setting that is located only a few miles from a high-crime urban area. My students face many challenges: many live in single parent homes, many are latch-key children with both parents working, and one third of my students generally receive free or reduced lunches.
