With the new cars, we now have nearly a one to one ratio of cars to students which means more individual time to practice basic coding skills with these robots. Students can use the Indi cars to make color coded patterns with mats on the floor. When the car is placed on green, it tells the car to \"go.\" Each color that follows tells the car to do something different (turn right, left, spin, stop, diagonal right, left). The students can create patterns and sequences to have the car follow.\r\nWith Kindergarten, I often challenge them to try to make their car drive in a square or rectangle. As the students get older, I challenge them to create an infinite loop that the cars drive on non-stop. \r\nThe Kindergarten has already been reintroduced to this new set and are having a blast. Having a full set helps keep every student engaged with less arguments! Students still love to play together, but are able to do so with their own cars now.","fullyFundedDate":1771976314597,"projectUrl":"project/new-indi-car-set/9861159/","projectTitle":"New Indi Car Set!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Switala","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8667278_orig.png?crop=614,614,x0,y32&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1679002869901","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8667278"},{"teacherId":5562583,"projectId":9487758,"letterContent":"I wanted to reach out and thank you again for funding my project.
