Their learning feels more like an adventure, allowing students to take an active role in discovering new places, cultures, and perspectives rather than simply reading about them in a textbook.\r\n\r\nStudents who are naturally curious and enjoy exploring new topics have especially warmed to this. The air purifiers are strong enough to do the job, but small enough to not be a hindrance or obtrusive to our classroom environment. The brick pattern from the Better than Paper purchase has completely changed the appearance of our classroom. While my current students only know this new look, my previous students keep popping their heads into my room, yelling out in protest that the room didn't look like this when they were in it. My students like the feel of the material and the ability to lean against it without damaging the wall. Several of my fellow teachers have also commented on how it has improved the look and atmosphere of the classroom.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to teach the students how to use the air purifiers, including how to run and care for them. Many students have asked about them, wanting to understand how they work and how the filters have to be changed. When it is time to change those filters, we'll use it as a learning opportunity.
