Fully funding my project will allow my students to diagram, sketch, and create flow charts, characterization charts, and concept maps with quality markers, paper and colored pencils. They will also be able to brainstorm ideas and list key points to show connections with the dry erase boards. This makes learning more stimulating through visual displays enabling them to find the excitement in learning using non-traditional strategies. These students are primarily visual learners, and in order for them to retain information, everything they learn has to be digested thru their eyes. These supplies will allow them to participate and fully engage not only in the classroom but with the text itself. Creativity and self-expression inspires them to write fantastic descriptive essays for their favorite novel, short story and nonfiction texts.
