My 5th graders cheered when the fancy black rolling chairs were revealed the morning after they arrived. They each took turns trying them out, rolling around, twirling, and adjusting the height (safely of course.) They were a hit!\r\nMore importantly, however, they are put to good use daily, because all three homerooms use them as they cycle through reading class. The chairs were originally dedicated to the task of Small Groups with the teacher, and they are still mainly used for that, but students also use them at other times too. They go right for the rolling chairs when looking for a comfy place to read independently, when they want to sit with a friend to work together, or when they need to find a quiet corner away from others to read aloud for fluency practice on their own. These chairs are all-purpose rolling chairs!\r\nThanks to you, our new rolling chairs have become an important part of our reading class and really make a difference for student learning and comfort for all 5th graders throughout the day.
