My students would benefit from headphones with a microphone to be use with their Chromebooks which are provided by our school. We use programs such as Amplify, Brainpop, Flocabulary, and much more to learn about the real world and bring it into the classroom. The headphones with microphones are critical for students to interact with programs that allow speaking, speech to text, and playback. This is especially important for diverse learners and English language learners. Individual headphones would make a quiet classroom allowing students to focus entirely on their assignment and block all outside environmental noise. Headphones would be shared with all 135 students, but of course sanitized and stored away properly.
