I am a social studies teacher and geography is a big part of that. It is nice to be able to have a reference to look at when discussing and learning about the world. It's important for students to visualize where the countries are. We haven't had any atlases for the last two years and having a class set will help streamline my class and the lessons I teach centered around the states and the world. To go along with that, I love to use art in my classroom. When we are completing projects, many of my students don't have art supplies to add to their finished work. It will be wonderful to be able to have them on hand for the students to use. We do children's books, posters, group work and many other activities that require markers, colored pencils, and scissors.
