Having these basic needs met right inside our room instantly created a sense of relief and comfort; one student even pulled me aside to mention how nice it felt knowing they could grab a deodorant whenever they needed one.\r\n\r\nWe now use these resources daily to keep our learning environment clean, healthy, and focused. During a recent progress monitoring assessment, having snacks on hand kept everyone's energy up, while our new cleaning supplies allowed the kids to take pride in wiping down their desks and resetting the room for the next group. The Lego bricks did more than I imagined. \r\n\r\nNot only did the little, first-time students begin to focus on building, they began to use their motor skills and their imaginations. They each were able to explain what they had built. These ornaments will have the same impact that the Christmas ornaments would have had!\r\n\r\nMany of the Pre-K students that I work with have special needs, and I am always thinking of projects to do with them to improve their motor skills, hand-eye coordination, communication skills, and most especially, their smile and laughter reflexes. With the supplies I was able to purchase because of your donations, we are making heart ornaments!\r\n\r\nThe tissue paper is soft to the touch and easy for the students to handle, and because the project requires lots of tiny paper balls, they find delight in crumbling the paper with their little fingers. The glue guns and molding wire helps me create the shape of the ornaments. I am so appreciative of your support.
