Due to your support, I was able to purchase the supplies specifically for my Pre-kindergarten students. We wanted to make Christmas ornaments but the supplies did not come in time. Nevertheless, Ms. Pogue always keeps a backup plan up her sleeve! We are making ornaments for Valentine's Day. These ornaments will have the same impact that the Christmas ornaments would have had!\r\n\r\nMany of the Pre-K students that I work with have special needs, and I am always thinking of projects to do with them to improve their motor skills, hand-eye coordination, communication skills, and most especially, their smile and laughter reflexes. With the supplies I was able to purchase because of your donations, we are making heart ornaments!\r\n\r\nThe tissue paper is soft to the touch and easy for the students to handle, and because the project requires lots of tiny paper balls, they find delight in crumbling the paper with their little fingers. The glue guns and molding wire helps me create the shape of the ornaments. I am so appreciative of your support. That's a whole lot of little fingers (and whatever is carried on them) touching surfaces regularly. The cleaning wipes help to sanitize those surfaces as I use them just as regularly. \r\n\r\nI am able to place more than one box of tissues that were purchased with your donations around the large room. Now when sneezing or sniffling happens, a tissue is nearby to come to the rescue. The supply of paper towels helps keep the art supplies in tiptop shape from class to class.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in a season of snipping the sniffles in the art classroom and for helping to keep the germs from spreading around the room. I was able to display student jobs for each class and the classroom schedule.
