The use of technology for MTSS in my classroom is essential to student growth in both ELA and Math. We all know how important it is to focus when working on Edtech programs that support student achievement. The Edtech programs allow students to remain engaged in their own personal learning paths, as well as provide an opportunity for myself to meet with small groups and individual students to set personalized learning goals. What becomes a problem is the fact that since students are working at different levels and engaged in different activities, they become easily distracted by the sounds that come from their peers computers. It is distracting for many of my students who have focusing issues and they miss important instruction given either on the EdTech program or while working in a small group with myself. By having headphones, students will be able to avoid all of these problems and focus on increasing their learning! By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand, and not being distracted by the noises throughout the classroom. Plus in this technology literate world, my students will now be given the opportunity to focus and really take a deep dive into their personal learning paths, which will increase their literacy and math skills, as well as their desire to learn and use the new technology!
