The shaved ice machine reinforced our water cycle lesson and provided an interactive treat during our 2025 fall festival. After completing their water cycle visual representations and multiple choice and short answer assessment, our students made ice cubes, used the cubes to make shaved ice, and then enjoyed the treat before they melted. I must share that watching students delight in being able to select a flavor from a variety of choices is one of the highlights of my school year. \r\nThis machine is bringing smiles to the entire school. A few weeks after their science lesson the shaved ice machine was pulled out for the fall festival for two grades on two different floors. Administration has requested the machine to be a station during our school's literacy night. I found the book Dragons Don't Eat Snow Cones and will read this delightful book that conveys the message to not give up at this station. All students in the school will receive a mini water cycle lesson and hydrate themselves with a snow cone during our May 2026 Field Day. Because of you, my multilingual kindergarteners now gather each day around a beautiful wooden table that has transformed our small-group learning space. The natural warmth of the wood helps create a calm, inviting environment where students feel comfortable, focused, and ready to learn. When my students first saw the new table, they immediately noticed how its shape gave them more room to sit comfortably and turn to one another for \"turn and talk\" discussions. Their excitement was genuine—they could feel that this space was made for them.\r\n\r\nWe now use the table every single day in all our small-group rotations, and it has quickly become the heart of our classroom. Students eagerly hurry to the table, proud to take their seats and ready to dive into reading and language activities. Your support has made this daily joy possible. Our next big step as learners is mastering how to blend and read words independently, and the new table gives us the perfect space to build those foundational skills together.\r\n\r\nThank you again for believing in my students and for enriching their learning environment in such a meaningful way.
