When students walk into the ELA room, they will find an individualized set of books on their reading level, chosen specifically for them to ensure that literacy is both accessible and enjoyable. Additionally, they each have a writer's notebook, a folder, and other materials they use during literacy centers. However, our students currently lack a place to keep these materials safe, personalized, and in good condition. The book bags I request in this project will provide a space for students to organize their learning tools inside the classroom. Providing students with book bags will ensure a more efficient learning environment for all 3rd graders. In addition, they will facilitate my role in tailoring each student's materials to his or her individual needs.
