The young students in my class are from a very diverse neighborhood in Washington, D.C. My students are kinesthetic and visual learners that learn best when they are engaged in hands on activities, which is why interactive materials will greatly benefit our classroom and their success. The scholars in my class are 5th graders at a Title I school. 100 percent of our students receive free/reduced lunch. My class consists of half African American students and half Latino. Many of the students in my class are also English Language Learners. My students enter the classroom everyday with a smile, enthusiastically ready to learn! We are extremely grateful for the opportunities that are offered to us, to expand our learning and exploring in the classroom.
