Bringing these books into our classroom library will create the print-rich environment that my students deserve. My classroom library is an essential resource for my students to thrive as readers. All of my students come from low-income homes, and many do not have the resources to access these texts outside of the classroom. My classroom library is a place where my students are able to dig into high quality literature and awaken their imaginations and curiosities. Having a wide range of genres, topics, and culturally relevant texts in our classroom library is vital for my students to build not only their love for reading but also to build their background knowledge which carries into all areas of their learning.
