I am entering my 12th year teaching at HD Cooke Elementary. This school community is incredibly special and has had the support of Donor's Choose donors over many years. Thanks to you all my students have had access to many tools and materials that can not be provided by the school. We continue to appreciate your support because as the world around us shifts and new challenges arise, nothing will deter us from working to give our students every possible opportunity. The young scholars in my class are from a very diverse neighborhood in Washington, D.C. Over 90 percent of students at our school quality for free/reduced lunch. There is a diverse group of students in my class--most from underserved communities and many students who are English Language Learners. My students are eager to learn deserve the absolute best.
