I have a student with special needs that can get very emotional at times and her behavior can spiral out of control. These new supplies are going to guide me in how to handle this student and teach the other students how to have empathy and patience for her. \r\nThe students are also loving the new multicultural crayons! Instead of being able to choose just peach or brown, they have 24 different skin shades they can choose from when they are coloring a picture of themselves, their friends, and family members. \r\n\r\nI wanted the Teachers Pay Teachers gift card to help me supplement the curriculum, find morning work, and practice pages for home and the classroom. Even though I have been teaching in the public schools for 25 years, this is my first year in 3rd grade. \r\n\r\nI am making good use of the items I received, thanks to your support.
