The items I am requesting will allow seating choices for my students. Having the opportunity to sit comfortably on a cushion, or pillow, will provide a cozy place for them to work independently at, or away, from their desk. The pillows and cushions will help everyone feel more at home. First Graders don't want to sit in a hard chair all day long! They may also benefit the kids who have a few ants in their pants, as the occupational therapist at our school recommends those cushions for the students she works with. The pencil grippers will help the students who are struggling with their handwriting and fine motor skills.
