Illuminate Our Creativity!
Funded Feb 3, 2025Thank you from myself and my students for your generous donations toward our project!!! Because of you, we were able to purchase a set of new light boards for students to use while creating artwork and during their free time! When I told my students about their new light boards they were very excited, cheering and clapping and eager to use them right away!
I plan to use the light boards for years to come and with many other projects. Students will also get to use the light boards as a free choice activity throughout the year. Students of all ages love using the boards to trace a coloring page, practicing their drawing skills and strengthening their fine motor skills.
Thank you again from the bottom of my heart!!”

Learning How to Draw
Funded Feb 2, 2024Thank you so much for your donations toward these how to draw books! The students love them and use them daily! They are always excited when new books arrive in the How To Draw book bucket.
Students like to use these books when drawing something as part of their projects or as a free choice option for when their project is finished! Their sketchbooks are filled with doodles and they love taking home their new drawings to show their families.
Even the littles ones who are still learning to draw will use tracing paper with the books to trace the new pictures, which is still a great way to practice their fine motor skills!
Thank you so so much! We appreciate you!”

Light Up Our Artwork!
Funded Sep 11, 2023Thank you from myself and my students for your generous donations toward our project!!! Because of you, we were able to purchase five new light boards for students to use while creating artwork and during their free time! When I told my students about their new light boards they were very excited, cheering and clapping and eager to use them right away!
My fifth grade students were the first to use the light boards to create artwork inspired by the pop artist Andy Warhol. First, we looked at Warhol's artwork, discussing his use of bright bold colors and repeated images. Then, students chose an image of their own to draw and repeat. Students drew the first image themselves, and then used the light boards to trace their initial image three more times. Afterward, students chose to color their images with colored pencils or markers (images to follow)! I am very proud of what they have created so far!

The Drying Rack: A Safe Place to Dry
Funded Nov 23, 2021Thank you so much for helping us raise money for a new drying rack! Unfortunately, a few months after the project was funded, I received a notification that this drying rack (and many others) were no longer being produced. I was asked to use the donations to purchase other materials, so I ordered a bunch of other art supplies that are used very often and are much needed in our art classroom!
The students will be happy to have new markers, crayons, colored pencils, oil pastels, and glue sticks to use on all of the new big paper! They are excited to see what we will create and look forward to using the new supplies!
I still hope to order a drying rack once they are back in stock. By using your donations for other necessary art supplies, I now have enough in our budget to afford one at the beginning of the next school year. So, THANK YOU for all of your support and generosity!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Coviello
