Because of your support, our classroom library is now home to several brand-new books, ranging from heart-pounding thrillers and dystopian adventures to insightful memoirs and vibrant graphic novels.\r\n\r\nWalking into a room and seeing a student's eyes light up because they finally found \"the one\" book that speaks to them is a feeling that never gets old. In this room, reading isn't just a quiet task; it's an active experience. We practice \"Book Tasting\" events where students rotate through genres to find a match, and we hold daily dedicated reading time where the room goes silent—save for the occasional yelp at a plot twist. With these new titles, our \"Currently Reading\" board is finally full, and the excitement in the air is palpable.\r\n\r\nWhile these books are entertaining, they are also powerful teaching tools. By diversifying our genres, we are able to tackle complex academic and life skills. Our new thrillers and sci-fi novels help students practice making predictions and identifying foreshadowing. Graphic novels are essential for building reading stamina and helping students decode complex narratives through both text and visual cues.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving my students 40 new gifts to open. The weight room is used on a daily basis by both our physical education classes and our sports teams. Many of our barbells were outdated and no longer functional and your donation helped to fix this problem. The barbells we received were forty-five pounds and thirty-five pounds; having the lighter ones has allowed us to teach proper lifting techniques to all our students. The lighter barbells have allowed students to be successful leading to them wanting to continue to learn new workout routines. The accessories included barbell clips and landmine barbell attachments; the clips help us to reinforce safety when using free weights. The landmine attachments have allowed us to teach different exercises that we didn't have the capablility to do before. \r\nIt has been nice to hear students (especially the upper grades) comment on how nice it is to have barbells that work. Many of the younger students are appreciative of having lighter weights to use. The students and athletes of Worcester Tech would like to say thank you for taking the time to donate to our school.","fullyFundedDate":1746787284567,"projectUrl":"project/eagles-pumping-iron/9113322/","projectTitle":"Eagles Pumping Iron","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Healey","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7099146"},{"teacherId":6459139,"projectId":8711337,"letterContent":"This project funded the purchase of six Vernier digital force sensors.
