These materials are going to help my inclusion and ESL students enjoy and participate in William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. Using graphic novels will allow students who struggle with the language, both English and Shakespearean, to better understand what they are reading. Graphic novels have the ability to engage students of all learning levels in ways that most literature struggles to do. With the use of the Romeo and Juliet graphic novels and project supplies along with them, I want to bring Shakespeare to these students in a creative and fun way. The hope is that these students will read the play together and then create their own thematic covers for the play.
