With the camera and the computer, I hope to improve students' comprehension and analytical skills by giving them the opportunity to create projects that use the same theme or literary devices as the literature they read. I also want to help them improve their presentation skills. The ability to communicate a message through presentation is not only important in college and career readiness, but also in order to meaningfully participate in our democracy. Video is already an important part of my students' worlds. It is how they communicate- telling stories and sharing their worlds with one another. I hope to help them make that communication more meaningful.
