The students in my classroom are working to improve the skills and strategies that they will need to succeed with language-based disabilities. An iPad as a document camera will allow face to face teaching virtually in a remote setting while using a document camera to demonstrate strategies and expectations. The apps that can be downloaded will allow each lesson to provide each student with the individual accommodation needed for positive results. The iPad has downloadable apps that give the teacher the ability to circle items in different coded colors or provide visual cues with content. Corrections can be circled or highlighted in real-time in front of the students' virtual class. Text to speech can assist when reading an article as a small group class, highlighting the words as the text is being read. Bold print or larger font can be added for visual assistance. Vocabulary words can be marked to show syllables and sound for pronunciation. The class, whether in person or remote, will provide multiple ways to learn the same information in an enhanced environment.
