Students are transitioning from learning to read to reading to learn, and they need high-interest, age-appropriate materials that build both skill and confidence. Scope provides engaging nonfiction articles, paired texts, debates, and short stories that capture students' attention while strengthening critical reading skills.\r\n\r\nWhat makes Scope especially valuable is how it supports key standards in a way that feels exciting rather than overwhelming. Each issue includes opportunities to practice analyzing theme, identifying an author's claim, examining text structure, and evaluating evidence. The articles are relevant, culturally responsive, and written at accessible levels, which is essential for supporting diverse learners in a middle school classroom.\r\n\r\nMany of my students do not have access to magazines, books, or literacy materials at home. Providing them with consistent, high-quality reading material ensures they have meaningful opportunities to practice comprehension skills and build vocabulary. The built-in writing prompts and activities also encourage students to think critically and express their ideas with confidence.\r\n\r\nYour support would directly impact students by placing engaging, standards-aligned reading material in their hands.
