I am using them as an incentive to focus during their independent computer learning program that we use in my district. Students were all given a bracelet and one charm to get them excited about earning more. Now that the winter weather has hit, sweaters in the classroom are necessary especially on chilly Monday mornings. My school has an old boiler system and it takes awhile to heat up the building. These sweaters and fleece jackets are a livesaver in keeping students warm and comfortable.\r\n\r\nWhen the sweaters were distributed, my students squealed with delight and couldn't wait for their turn to try on. They were so happy and continued to wear them the remainder of the day. They said \"wow we are so lucky\" and they kept asking me the name of the people who donated these \"great clothes\" to us. My students loved decorating the bags then opening the boxes that contained the hygiene products (deodorant, soap, shampoo, conditioner, lip balm, toothbrush/toothpaste, mirror and hand sanitizer). Each student was actively involved in placing the products in the bag.\r\nNext we visited the 7th grade and 4th grade classrooms and surprised the students with their gift. My students loved being able to give the \"big kids\" a gift and were happy to tell them the products came through Donors Choose. The students who received the bags were so excited to open and see what they received. My students love the rolls of Art paper were multiple students can create on the same very long piece of paper. When our 7th Grade buddies come to our classroom, all students love to collaborate on a mural. Then we were able to post in the classroom.\r\nThe light up tracing pads are in high demand during our after lunch indoor recess.
