These materials will allow students to acquire knowledge and understanding of all four domains of language development, Listening, speaking, reading, and writing. For example, the power pen and power pen cards will help students associate letters with their sounds while using visuals. The English Language development activity cards and Around our Community vocabulary development photos will help students associate words to pictures and make a connection between their native language and the English language, in order to work on translation. The calming color bags will function as a change on environment so students can listen to bilingual books and developing/practicing how the English language sounds. These materials will help my students learn and apply social and academic English language that will help them become better and productive American citizens of the future. Learning two languages has become an essential skill in our global economy. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus in English language development, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
