This program introduces foundational reading skills such as phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension, all of which are essential for students to become confident, independent readers. Many of our students with disabilities face challenges in decoding words, recognizing patterns, and understanding text structure. With Lexia Core5, they receive personalized, scaffolded lessons that adapt to their unique learning needs, reinforcing skills through engaging, interactive activities. The multisensory approach helps make reading more accessible by integrating visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning, which has been especially beneficial for our struggling readers.\r\n\r\nIn our classroom, reading time has become an exciting and engaging experience. Students eagerly put on their headphones, log into Lexia Core5, and immerse themselves in their individualized reading journey. One student, who previously felt discouraged by reading, now beams with confidence as she proudly announces each new level she completes. Another student, who struggled with fluency, has shown remarkable improvement in reading aloud, gaining both skill and self-assurance.
