On an iPad, I could download many apps that would target learning and communication in a variety of ways. My students could work on their articulation skills, receptive and expressive language skills, and reading/math/science skills. Students who have difficulties with reading and writing, would highly benefit from technology where information can be presented visually and verbally. Many of my students experience special needs or disabilities, which makes learning a challenge. A delay in communication skills may also impact all subject areas in school. My students want to improve their communication skills and an iPad would give them another engaging opportunity to do so.
