All of my students love to come to school and learn everyday. My students have different needs when it comes time for learning. Traditional classroom are set up with desks for students to learn from, my students love to fidget, walk around, and even stand while I am teaching a lesson. During my small group lessons, with flexible seating, my students will be able to sit in seats that are best suitable to bring the focus and attention out in them. They will be given the option to sit on the stool, or stand at the desk. My students need that choice of seating to learn the best way they can. By having the standing desk, my students they just don't like sitting all the time has the same opportunity as all the other students. My students that feel the need to bounce have the same opportunity to learn and bounce. The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices. The balance ball will allow my student to sit at the table, but be able to move side to side or bounce without disrupting the other students. These will be extremely beneficial for some students that just need to get the wiggles out. They can also be used as an alternative chair if needed! The student lap desk will allow the student to sit by the teacher or on carpet, but not with the other students. Some of my students do not like to be too close to other students, by having an alternate desk, eases my students anxiety. I have seen how choice can positively affect my students work and ability to focus and hope that the additional options will help us learn more skills.
