Because of this it trains them to communicate with clients and to realize their compassion for taking care of others. These classes can help students get jobs and/or just help them for general knowledge to be able to change a light fixture or an outlet if needed. Modern-day students can have trouble relating to stories written hundreds of years ago. The graphic novel versions of these classics make the literature accessible for our students--dare I say, even fun. Your generous donation has helped to make this possible. \r\n\r\nThis project provided graphic novel versions of Dante Aleghieri's Inferno--a must-read in the quest to equip our students with cultural knowledge. Our students have quite enjoyed the books, and reading the story has inspired them to complete related writing assignments and projects. \r\n\r\nFurther, they've been able to link Dante's Inferno to modern depictions of \"the bad place\" which they've seen in movies and read about in contemporary literature. Making a common connection to historical literature facilitates learning in a way that brings meaning for our students. The specific supplies that was purchased with your donations will allow us to practice skills such as, Bed Bath, Catheter Care and Foot care.\r\n\r\nPracticing these skills in class gets us ready to the North Carolina State CNA exam. After passing this exam the students receive there certificate from North Carolina and meet all the requirements to begin working as a certified CNA. These breaker boxes will give a breaker for students to gain experience wiring in and a real life experience of what the breaker box should look like when complete. These boxes will give each pair of students their own work station and a real sense of what they are attempting to accomplish in the field. I am hoping this class will be a major success in our school. We still need a few more tools and materials but we should be ready for the 2026-2027 school year.
