Every day is a good day to practice being present in the moment and there for both ourselves and each other. Some of these include sitting still with our thoughts and emotions and some use body movements to ground us into the moment. With our new iPads, I was able to give all of my AVID students a dongle and have a few extra on hand for students in my science classes who need them. One memorable moment happened during a group discussion on persuasive writing—students eagerly used the easel pads to map out their arguments, color-coding their points with the markers and proudly displaying their work around the room. It turned what's normally a quiet writing session into a lively, interactive learning experience.\r\n\r\nWith these new tools, students are using the easel pads to draft and revise ideas together, supported by the visual clarity the markers and organized classroom setup provide. The magnetic clips and hooks have helped us keep materials accessible and our space clutter-free, which has noticeably improved focus and flow during activities.
