Kids need to be active! And my students are no different. Their brains work best when they can move their bodies and do their work at the same time. Having a variety of options for how to move while they learn affords them voice and choice. Students often feel empowered while using fidgets because it allows them to focus and feel success in their learning! A huge part of being an educator for me is to meet my students where they are in their learning. I have a full confidence that they can each better themselves every day, some just need a little more help to get started.
