Our elementary students are so excited to be offered physical education this year! Last year was the first year in 8 years that KG - 3rd grade students were offered physical education. This year they are expanding the physical education program to 4th and 5th grade students! As a physical education teacher I could not be happier to expose activity, skills, and fitness to all students who attend our pre K - 8th grade program. For almost a decade the program was only offered to junior high students. The equipment was purchased for junior high students (12-14 years old). Elementary students are much smaller, in addition they are taught a variety of relays, games, and modified skilled sports. Our elementary students are asking to have proper equipment to play Pirate Ball, Castle Ball, Bowling, Pin Guard, Field Days, Bag the Bean Bag, Beach Ball Volleyball, Football: 500, End Zone... with footballs that fit their hands! Please help us get the equipment that is needed for our younger students. Let's work together to keep kids healthy, active, and enjoying physical activity!
