The kids love to grab a surf desk and spread out around the classroom to work with a partner. The surf desks have been a wonderful addition to our small group rotations. Students are able to gather together on the carpet in front of the board and actually work successfully. Using the desks while completing work around the classroom and/or in a small group setting on the carpet has allowed for better focus and improved work quality. We were able to easily pick out text features within the magazine, which is an important first grade skill.
