Presentation day was scheduled for Friday March 13th, but all state and county offices were shut down. Thankfully we were approved to reschedule our complex wide wavier day so that presentations could be held on March 30th instead. \r\nAll of the items purchased through donors choose were still be able to be used and were very helpful in keeping the day organized. Crates of supplies including large display clocks were distributed to 22 classrooms. The cafeteria staff was able to freeze purchased ingredients and bento containers and serving boats were used to provide judges breakfast and lunch. Snacks were served to judges, student volunteers and presenters through out the day. \r\n392 judges came on campus to watch 250 students who successfully presented a 10-12 minute presentation. There is no way I would be able to provide snacks to the students without the generous donations from donors choose.\r\n\r\nFood in Maui is very expensive and we are a Title 1 school which means over half our students qualify for free or reduced lunch. I know many of the kids who come in for tutoring qualify for free lunch at 12:00, but by 2:00 they are hungry again and ready for an after school snack.\r\n\r\nThank you so much for providing snacks for our public school students on Maui.
