This project was a fantastic way to bring students together so that they are the center, they are the ones that matter. Through this project, students received new, comfortable chairs that helped them know that they matter, and that their comfort and learning is what matters most in our classroom.\r\n\r\nIf I could give all my students comfortable seating, I would, but at the very least, through this project we now have a total of 6 comfortable chairs for students to enjoy while in our classroom. The way the chairs are allocated is when students volunteer for classroom jobs. They are learning the cultural practice of rock wall building with a cultural practitioner from Kapoholima, a non-profit organization working on the restoration of a fish pond. \r\nAll of the supplies purchased, irrigation line, irrigation sprinklers, irrigation timers, etc. will be all used to maintain these garden terraces. Some of the irrigation is already installed in other garden areas that have already been planted. These areas are currently flourishing.\r\nThe students have been enjoying their work time outside.
