Even more than that, many students in my classes have anxiety and ADHD which means they need to manage behaviors associated with these diagnoses. I included in my project magnetic building sets as well as a few fidget spinners. The students always ask for the building magnet tiles when they need to take a break from academics for a limited period. Two students in particular claimed that the fidget spinners I ordered were the best ones they have ever used. I gifted the spinners to the students who used them consistently in class. \r\n\r\nI also ordered stationery pouches for the students to use during the school year and after they graduate. The girls especially liked them. \r\n\r\nThe most useful classroom additions from this project are mouse pads and mouses that we can use with our school issued chrome books. These are a great asset to my class inventory because when students need to drag images on the computer, the mouse is more convenient.\r\n\r\nOn behalf of my current students and those who will join my classes next year and beyond, we all thank you for providing donations to enrich our classrooms! The moment the electricity kits arrived, our physical science classroom transformed into a hands-on laboratory. Instead of just reading about circuits in a textbook, my students are now actively building them. In a recent project, students worked in teams to design and troubleshoot their own parallel and series circuits. The highlight of the lesson was a \"diagnostic challenge\" where I intentionally introduced a \"break\" in their systems (like a loose wire or a faulty switch), and they had to use their new knowledge to figure out why the current stopped flowing. Seeing the literal and metaphorical lightbulbs go off as they successfully closed the loop was incredible.\r\n\r\nOur First Reactions\r\nWhen the boxes first arrived and we unpacked the kits together, the room was buzzing with genuine excitement. Ninth graders can sometimes try to play it cool, but they couldn't hide their enthusiasm when they saw the brand-new switches, bulbs, and wiring components. One student looked at the neatly organized kits and said, \"Wait, we actually get to build real stuff with these?\" There is a unique kind of joy that comes when students realize people they've never met care enough about their education to send them the exact tools they need to succeed.\r\n\r\nThese kits have completely changed the dynamic of our classroom, turning abstract physics concepts into tangible, exciting challenges.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in my students and giving them the chance to learn by doing.
