These materials will allow my students to have a safe and engaging learning environment when they return to school. I have asked for cleaning supplies and tape to make it a safe place in the classroom, lining desk areas and providing a resource for students to clean their desks. I have requested extension chords because students will be bringing their laptops and will need charging stations, with 30 students in a room, there are limited outlets. In addition, I included ordering headphones so that students might be able to listen to the audio online without disrupting the class. A label-making machine is important to have in any office/ classroom because it allows students to be in an organized space and can independently find what they need. And a laminating machine, so that I can sanitize the class copies between classes. Students are required to purchase a 3 subject notebook for an interactive notebook, and due to financial hardship, many struggle with purchasing one. I also require markers and colored pencils for projects, these will allow each student in the classroom to have a set, and limit the sharing of germs, as they can have their own set and sanitize between uses. This year, I am also teaching a marine science and a culinary course, these books will allow students to have more material to look through and it will foster their interest and learning of the subject. And boost morale as they can discover and learn many different things.
