It has been extremely helpful with supporting instruction.\r\n\r\nOne way I utilize this resource is to co-create anchor charts with students to support their learning and independent work. For example, in math we discuss various strategies for solving multi-digit multiplication problems, and by creating visual reminders on chart paper on the easel, it provides an anchor for students when they are trying this work on their own and need scaffolds.\r\n\r\nIn language arts, we do a great deal of work with locating text evidence to support our thinking, so another way I use the easel is by placing it next to the BENQ board, which enables us to examine the text we are reading on the BENQ board while simultaneously being able to take notes by paraphrasing and recording them on the chart paper on the easel.
