Some students use them to help focus and for external noise reduction. We do a lot of collaborative work but there are times when students are working independently and want to cut down on extraneous noise distractions. \r\n\r\nAll of my students use the headphones with mics when making our recordings explaining our thinking about scientific concepts. My students benefit from multiple modalities of explaining their thinking and having them record their explanations about what we are learning in science really increases their ability to internalize concepts. \r\n\r\nLastly, many of my students have text to speech accommodations on formal tests and these headphones are of high enough quality to really help them in these testing situations. Being able to reliably practice text to speech in class and then utilize it fluently on unavoidable tests has allowed us to manage our stress really well.
