My students come from a city of about 50,000 people. They have been raised in an environment that is best described as a mix between rural and moderately urban. Some hunt and fish while others go to the Plaza to hang out. We have a large population of underprivileged and economically disadvantaged students. They are geographically isolated from the rest of the world by 2000 miles of ocean but have all the quirks and mannerism of many children their age.
