AVID is designed to help support students who are low income, first generation college bound, and/or meet other requirements with their collegiate dreams. My students qualify for free or reduced lunch, are the first in their family to attend college, and commonly struggle with their classes but want to elevate their future by attending college and bringing back what they learn to our community. Our classroom is heavily community service and leadership oriented, as well as academic.
