They love taking turns putting the date up on the calendar and repeating the date as a class. We will be using our inquiry kits to explore the outdoors. The backpacks hold the supplies to test the water and soil. They observe items like decomposing leaves, macro-invertebrates in streams, lichen, insects, and more to see how they contribute to food chains and the cycling of matter out in nature. Students use the knowledge gained to help with conserving the environment.\r\n\r\nThe students were excited when they saw all the supplies. They are engaged in learning about the world around them and looking forward to testing the environment in various locations.
