So many students are hesitant to read and are often scared away at the big and wordy chapter books. I have found that using graphic novels with these types of students proves to be a great way to help them get past the picture books and into thicker books with more content. They are the perfect springboard into chapter books! Students are able to raise their confidence and reading levels with these non-threatening, longer books. Graphic novels are often fought over in the classroom, you can never have too many!
