I have a classroom of 33 active third graders who love to learn. Our classroom is a place for children to learn. Most children can't sit still for very long. Because of this, my room is a place to learn by moving. We sing, dance, and make up gestures to go with what we are learning. For example, we use "air punctuation" to show capitals and punctuation in a sentence. Brain breaks and movement are a regular part of our day.
