We learned in our LETRS course ( the science of reading) that magnetic letter tiles should be used in our small groups to practice word chains, word families and word mapping. Each student should have there own set. These materials would be so helpful to have every student in a small group have there own set of magnet letters. When students can physically touch and move sounds around, it helps them differentiate between sounds that are difficult to distinguish. I feel these letter tile activities will improve their reading and writing skills!
