My Kinders had a wonderful time celebrating Chinese New Year. They learned so much thanks to you. They loved the new Chinese New Year books. Having access to books, technology and being able to eat out is lacking in their daily lives. Thanks to having this project funded we invited our friends at Panda Express to bring food to share with our students. The extra decorations, tablecloths, fortune cookies and chopsticks were great. I was amazed how wonderful my kids could use their chopsticks! (Much better than myself) I was so grateful to have the \"extras\" aka-the lanterns, the dragon, the zodiac and Chinese New Year signage, the red envelopes, coin bracelets etc. Not only did my students enjoy the decor but all of our students and staff were able to enjoy it as well. This was also a great lesson on the kindness of strangers! The children could not believe that people who did not know them would give money to buy Chinese New Year supplies for their celebration.
