I teach in a high Hispanic area and I love every single one of the students. Everyone has a story to tell and I am here to listen to it and help them become better at what they do. These students have parents who work an 8-5 job and cannot assist them with homework either because they don't speak the language or because they come home late. I became a teacher knowing that students come from different backgrounds and I was fine with that because I was one of these students that did not speak English and had to struggle to read when I was in elementary school. I love seeing results knowing they are understanding and learning how to become better readers.
