These Scholastic News magazines will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. My classroom library is a place that my students really enjoy. These magazines have been chosen with my students in mind. I have watched them over the years fight over these magazines. I want a magazine for each child that we can discuss during carpet/morning meeting time. These magazines are great for geography/history lessons too. With these new magazines, my students will be able to choose from a variety of topics that will allow them to read independently at their own level, pace themselves and choose stories of interest. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in independent reading and this project will only help enrich their experiences with the printed word.
