My Catharsis Publishing Class students are ecstatic and can't wait to use the Canon Camera.\r\n\r\nMy students are involved in the Academy of Communication Arts, Film, and Digital Media; where we empower students to develop a creative voice and take creative risks in a hands-on, project-based learning environment. The Academy promotes creativity, problem-solving, and leadership skills in a real-world setting. Most of my students take on additional responsibilities in their roles as editors, managers, and mentors, where the Canon Camera will come in handy. The students serve our school through print media (newsmagazine, yearbook, literary magazine), online media (online news site and social media marketing), broadcast, film, debate, digital design and communications technology. They compete at the local, state, and national level. For example, students are quick to grab tissues during lessons without disrupting the flow of class, and the wipes help us keep our shared desks and equipment sanitized.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the students were so excited to see that their classroom was being cared for in this way. It might sound small, but having these items on hand showed them that someone outside our school walls values their learning space just as much as we do.\r\n\r\nAs we continue with our current projects and lessons, these resources allow us to focus more on learning and less on interruptions.
