Your generosity has provided my students with the resources they needed to lead a meaningful community service project from beginning to end. Because of your support, our students were able to use the tumbler press to design and create personalized tumblers with uplifting messages of appreciation for the supermarket employees who dedicate their time each day to mentoring and training them in real-world job skills.\r\n\r\nThe excitement in our classroom was incredible when the students first saw the tumbler press and blank tumblers. They immediately began brainstorming encouraging phrases, voting on their favorite designs, and assigning themselves roles on the design, production, and distribution teams. Every student contributed according to their strengths, whether it was creating designs, pressing the tumblers, assembling the gifts, or writing heartfelt thank-you notes. Watching them proudly create something with their own hands for someone else was a powerful reminder that service-learning builds confidence and purpose.\r\n\r\nThe most meaningful moment came on our Kindness Giveaway Day. Students personally presented the tumblers to employees throughout the supermarket, thanking them for their patience, encouragement, and commitment to helping them develop job skills. Many employees were surprised and deeply touched, sharing that they had never received such a thoughtful, personalized gift. Our students beamed with pride as they realized that their kindness made a genuine impact on others.\r\n\r\nThis project has inspired our students to continue looking for ways to serve their community. They now understand that leadership is about giving back, showing gratitude, and recognizing the people who make a difference every day. Thanks to your generosity, our students gained valuable vocational, communication, and teamwork skills while discovering that even a simple act of kindness can leave a lasting impression. We are incredibly grateful for your support and for believing in our students' ability to make a positive impact in our community.","fullyFundedDate":1779453901704,"projectUrl":"project/spreading-joy-one-tumbler-at-a-time/10187496/","projectTitle":"Spreading Joy One Tumbler at a Time","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Feeney","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3067532_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1663808804153","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ivette-feeney"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_45793","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":2931,"numTeachers":143,"percentFrplEligible":50,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":4,"percentWhite":9,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":85,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":0,"gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"20.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":87.8,"schoolId":45793,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Coral Gables Senior High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Coral Gables Senior High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/florida/miami-dade-county-public-schools/coral-gables-senior-high-school/45793"}
